Spectacular Sydney is a stunning city to see through any season. There are always places to visit and explore throughout the seasons, and Springtime is no exception! The warm sun shines strong, the sky is blue and flora and fauna are at the height of their beauty.
The beginning of springtime in Sydney is often cooler and great for getting physical, later months of spring are warmer and are a great time to beat the crowds to a beach holiday.
Stayin loves Sydney in Spring. So we have compiled a great list of Spring activities in Sydney, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands and surrounding region.
Sydney in Spring
From fresh flowers and locally grown fruit and veg, meats and baked goods, farmers markets are one of the best ways to spend a weekend. We recommend Orange Grove, Growers Market Pyrmont, Bondi’s Farmers Market, Northside Produce Market and Parramatta Farmers Market.
Get outdoors, meet some new people and learn some gardening skills. Helping out at a Community Garden is great with kids or as a solo mission, you can find a full list of Sydney Community Garden Here.
Take advantage and celebrate the end of Winter! Barangaroo Reserve is Sydney’s best location to enjoy a Spring time picnic with great harbour views.
Good Food Month
October is Good Food Month! Eat your way through the city with a whole new variety of great foods. Learn all about what on offer at the Good Food Month Website.
Craft Beer Week
Why stop with food? Sydneys Craft Food Week is from the 17-25th October.
Weather is good, and holidays are well overdue after the end of the financial year. Book a weekend away in the Scenic Blue Mountains, Jervis Bay dolphin watching or down south in Bowral.
Head west to the Blue Mountain for something adventurous. There are plenty of companies that do daily guided hikes, rock climbing and abseiling trips for you and a group of friends. You are able to climb some of the most scenic locations in Australia.
Summer is coming….because it’s spring! We know you want to be on the beach taking full advantage of Sydney’s great beaches. Coastal Walks are the next best thing! Some of our favourites are the Spit Bridge to Manly Walk, Bondi to Coogee, Barrenjory to Avalon, and the hermitage foreshore track.
Fishing the South Coast
The south coast is great for relaxing on a boat and catching some fresh fruit.
Nature from Above
Stanwell park offers great experiences with hang-gliding and paragliding about some great views.
