Jenny King and Kerrie Ware are friends, teachers and practicing artists. They met in 2003. Both have travelled widely and have used those respective experiences to inform aspects of their work.
Jenny’s current works are vibrant, colourful abstracts involving acrylic paint and ink on canvas and paper. There is a definite influence of the sea and the landscapes that are part of the environments that she explores.
In this exhibition Kerrie’s work showcases photography, collage and canvas art, incorporating a mixture of materials including paint, pen leather and bone. Much of her work incorporates the written word commenting on the trivial and broader aspects of society.
